A monsoon storm triggered mudslides in the mountainous region of the Philippines leaving three people injured.
Footage shows the muddy deluge surging across a street, trapping vehicles and residents after continuous rain in Banaue, Ifugao province, on July 6.
The severe weather affected more than 1,500 residents who were evacuated into temporary housing following the natural disaster.
Rescue operations are ongoing which was initially hurdled by impassable roads after a series of landslides in the vicinity.
National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council media officer Eleasha Mariano said: ‘Per our initial report, there were three injured persons but it's only minor and they had already been treated.'
The agency spokesperson also said that clearing operations are underway.
The Philippines and other countries in Southeast Asia such as Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand are in the middle of their tropical monsoon rainy season, which lasts until October or November.
