A snake strayed inside a house in central India's Chhattisgarh.

The inside took place in the Korba district on July 6.

Visuals showed a snake sitting on the slab of a kitchen beside some boxes. A man was seen putting the snake inside a plastic jar. He struggled with the snake for some time before putting it inside the jar.

According to reports, a snake entered Nand Lal Sonwani's house when he was at work in the Katghora police station. His wife was preparing to send their children to school in the morning when the incident happened. She found the reptile, ran away from the place and informed the snake rescue team chief forest department member Jitendra Sarathi about the same.

After some time, Sarathi reached the spot and rescued the poisonous snake. The family thanked him for the fearless rescue.

Sarathi also asked all the women to be alert while doing household work as these reptiles often hide behind cans and cylinders in the kitchen.
