Giant ominous shelf cloud approaches at dusk over western Pennsylvania
During the evening of July 1, 2022, a line of thunderstorms moving into western Pennsylvania produced this huge shelf cloud. The shelf cloud is an imposing cloud formation that develops ahead of a thunderstorm line where warm air feeding the storm meets cool air blowing out of it. This video was taken at Moraine State Park in Butler County, PA, USA.
