The Superbloom display at the Tower of London moat is reaching full bloom as the recent hot and sunny weather has enabled plants to flourish (July 8) after an initially slow start due to the cold spring.

Visitors wandering through the floral field will see amongst the 29 varieties of flowers - red and Californian poppies, daisies, marigolds and cornflowers creating a riot of colour that will change as the season progresses, as other kinds of plants replace those that have finished blooming.

The display marks the Queen's Platinum Jubilee year with over 20 million seeds sown, some selected as they were inspired by the monarch's crown.
