A police officer saved two people trapped in a car that was submerged in deep floodwater in northwestern China.

Heroic video filmed in the city of Qingyang in Gansu Province on July 11 shows a police officer named Chang Rui driving a loader to approach a car submerged in deep floodwater, and standing on the loader to open the trunk door to help two people come out of the car.

Due to the rainstorm, a car and a semi-trailer truck got trapped in the flash floods and the car with two people inside only had a part of its roof above the floodwater.

Thanks to Rui, the two people in the car were transferred to safety area.

7月11日，甘肃庆阳环县部分乡镇普降中到大雨，局地暴雨。
当日上午9时，环县211国道山城段一处公路被山洪淹没，一辆小轿车和一辆重型半挂牵引车被困洪水中，其中小轿车被淹没只余部分车顶，车内两名乘客无法脱困。此时，暴雨仍然不停，洪水不断上涨，时刻威胁着他们的生命安全。
“哪里有危险，哪里就有公安民警的身影”，环县公安局山城派出所、交警中队闻讯而动，立即赶赴现场开展救援工作。交警中队长常睿不顾个人危险，当机立断从附近工地驾驶来一辆装载机，在洪水中为群众搭建了一条安全栈道，成功打开小轿车后备箱，将车内两名人员安全救出，并接连将洪水中其他受困人员转移到安全地方。随后派出所、交警中队临时启动交通管制，组织人员挖渠泄洪，确保过往车辆和人员安全。
