Kind father saves four piglets stuck inside drainage pipe
A kind father saved four piglets stuck inside a drainage pipe.
Gregorio Pascua woke up to find their pig had already given birth but the babies were missing in Camarines Sur province, the Philippines on July 4 morning.
The father searched the enclosure and discovered that four slippery piglets slid down the drain and fell into a pipe so he looked for a stick and climbed down the canal to pull them out.
Footage shows father Gregorio poking the hole with a stick before a tiny piglet fell out of it.
Daughter Charmaine said: ‘We didn't know that the pig had given birth around 2 am. My father only saw the bloodied enclosure in the morning, but the babies were not there.
‘It turned out that the babies fell down the pipe so he quickly went out to pull them one by one.'
Despite being stuck inside the dirty pipe with pig poop for at least four hours, the newborns were all safe and taken to their mother's side.
A cover was also placed on the drain to prevent the piglets from falling down again.
