Mysterious objects illuminate sky over northern China
Several mysterious luminaries were seen streaking across the sky in northern China.
Video filmed in the city of Turpan in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region at around 11:30 pm on July 16 shows different coloured objects lighting up the dark sky.
Zhu Jin, a researcher at Beijing Planetarium, told The Beijing News that the luminaries cannot be meteoroids or meteorites as they travel fast and their trajectories are parallel. But the luminaries had different angles and scattered directions.
Experts guessed that the luminaries could be man-made objects or disintegrated spacecraft, or related to atmospheric experiments.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
