Firefighters rescued residents trapped in flooded houses due to a heavy rainstorm in southern China.

Video filmed in the city of Ya'an in Sichuan Province on July 16 shows firefighters using ropes, life jackets and an inflatable boat to save residents trapped in flooded houses.

Two fire engines and eight firemen were deployed to rescue trapped residents.

After more than a 30-minute rescue, 15 trapped residents were transferred to a safe area.

今天（7月16日）上午9时54分，雅安市消防救援支队平江路消防站接指挥中心调度雅安市雨城区陆家坝雨城驾校旁有人员被困，消防站立即调2车8人紧急前往处置。

10时07分消防救援人员到达现场，但因为积水过高，人员被困房屋中，指挥员立即命令消防救援人员利用橡皮艇和救生衣、水域救援绳索等装备将被困人员转移至安全地带，在转移过程中，消防救援人员挨家挨户进行搜索，涉水进入房屋搜救。

10时43分，经过30多分钟的救援，在大家一次次的接力下，将被困人员转移至安全地带，共疏散营救被困人员15人。
