This is the moment a pod of friendly melon-headed whales played with tourists in the Philippines.

The group of beautiful marine creatures were filmed porpoising next to the holidaymaker's boat in Aklan province, the Philippines on July 17. They were also heard whistling underwater.

Vacationer Nauti Dre said: 'The whales were being cute and showing off on camera. There were so many of them. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.'

Melon-headed whales, named because of the shape of their heads, are party of the oceanic dolphin family. They are commonly seen around tropical and subtropical oceans near Hawaii, Polynesia, and the Philippines. They are also highly social creatures that typically travel in groups of hundreds.
