This is the amusing moment ice-cool restaurant customers ate grilled meat during a tropical storm.

The diners were enjoying their barbecue set up on tents when there was a heavy downpour in Makati City in Manila, the Philippines on July 2.

But instead of fleeing the freak weather, the defiant customers continued on their dinner party.

Footage shows the diners holding onto their glasses and plates while munching on tasty meat as gusty wind and rain pounded on their tents.

Customer Al Inocencio said: ‘We just went on with it. We have just started our dinner and we wanted to get our food's worth.'

The Philippines and other countries in Southeast Asia such as Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand are in the middle of their tropical monsoon rainy season, which lasts until October or November.
