The first ever RAC Summer Car Run took place today with 25 pre-1905 vintage vehicles leisurely driving through Surrey (July 21).

The cars set off this morning on the 38-mile round trip, through Box Hill and the Surrey Hills before returning to the RAC's Woodcote Club near Epsom during late afternoon.

The Summer Car Run was an opportunity for motoring enthusiasts to take their open-top vehicles for a spin during the warmer months - ahead of the famous London to Brighton Veteran Car Run which takes place in November and is open to any car older than 25 years.
