Police closed an area in a Thai park after it was used as a sex tape location by an OnlyFans couple.

Officers cordoned off an old bridge in the middle of a mangrove forest after confirming that an adult video had been filmed in the nature reserve in Koh Chang Island, Trat province on July 14.

They began inquiry after angry locals complained about the explicit video featuring a short-haired OnlyFans model identified as Khan Bung, 27.

Officers said that the woman had handed herself in to Koh Chang Police station where multiple charges were filed against her.

Police Colonel Wanlop Kangtharathip said: ‘The offender was a 27-year-old woman, and she already confessed that she was the person in the video. She also admitted that the video was shot on the bridge in Koh Chang.'

Charges against the young woman include obscenity in public, and violation of cybercrime laws such as uploading obscene materials to the internet and publishing obscene materials for public access.

Meanwhile, local Sarawut Kitchanon, 41, said they were relieved that officers were doing something about the incident.

He said: ‘Residents usually do the exercise at this bridge and this bridge is for the students to have field trips as well. We were relieved something was done about it.'

To keep the area safe, Mayor Chakkrit Salakphet said they will install cameras in the vicinity.

He said: ‘This kind of incident should be prevented. We believe that CCTV will help us ensure safety in the area.'

Indecency laws in Thailand, still a relatively conservative Buddhist country despite its flashy red-light districts, state that ‘making, producing, possessing, importing, exporting, or distributing pornography for commercial purposes, for distribution, or for public display' can be punished by up to three years in prison along with a fine of up to 60,000 baht.

The computer crime act bans ‘bringing pornography into a computer system' and can be punished with up to five years in prison or a fine of up to 100,000 baht, or both.

OnlyFans is a user-generated content platform for members of the public to upload explicit videos and pictures. Followers pay to access their material.
