Policemen fired warning shots from semi-automatic rifles to disperse football players fighting during a match in Myanmar.

Footage shows the officers shooting several rounds into the air to break up the fight at the Chairman's Cup Football Tournament in Kalaw Township, Shan State on July 21.

Representatives from Aungpan village and Raya village were facing off near the Kalaw clock tower when tensions rose, leading to a physical altercation between the two teams.

A villager in the audience, speaking to local media, said: 'The Raya team started the fight, and members from the Aungpan team were injured.'

The match was reportedly postponed while the score was 0-0 and organizers said it would be rescheduled next month.
