Model who danced in fish tank rushed to intensive Care after bizarre pet shop party
A model who danced in a fish tank was rushed to Intensive care after eating cannabis brownies at the bizarre party.
Torn Worachottanan, 25, was hired to wear a bikini while dancing in the aquariums at the pet shop in he popular Chatuchak market in Bangkok, Thailand, on July 20.
However, she said she had a 'near-death experience' after eating the marijuana desserts given to her by someone at the event.
The young model ate a whole brownie and a cookie given to her by someone she believed was a member of staff.
Torfun said that after 10 minutes she felt her eyes getting heavier, her chest tighter, and was feeling very dizzy.
Speaking after recovering from her ordeal, she said: 'The man who fed me the brownies wore a black t-shirt that was very similar to the staff. I was also very hungry from skipping breakfast so I ate whatever was being fed to me.
'Luckily my boyfriend was present at the scene. He brought me to the hospital. I remember seeing the a Chinese tourist laughing afterwards, so it could have been them who gave it to me.'
Torfun was unconscious for one day and had to pay medical bills that cost her more than 20,000 THB (453 GBP).
Arowana mall manager Attachai Add-on denied the drugs - now legal in Thailand - were given to the model by his employees.
He said: 'We only provided drinks and food at the event. I can guarantee you that the person was not part of the staff team. I have also helped the model pay for the medical bills.'
