A woman has shared her savvy hack to save food melted by the blazing heat – creating an "easy" chocolate fondue.

Laura MacLean, 25, from Scotland has recently gone viral with a summer hack which users are calling "brilliant."

The account executive was left feeling "gutted" after leaving her favourite chocolate bar out in the blazing sun on accident – but soon had a "lightbulb" moment to salvage the snack.

She popped into her fridge, found some fruit and dipped the pieces into the pool of chocolate, creating her very own "easy" fondue.

In a bid to share her savvy-hack, she decided to uploaded a clip demonstrating the process on TikTok, where she has racked up 168,200 views and 12,100 likes.

In the video, she begins by opening up a bar of Cadbury's Dairy Milk and then proceeds to leave the confectionary in the sun – letting nature do its work for a few minutes.

Once the bar has fully melted, she then chucks in some strawberries and enjoys the tasty treat.

Users shared their reactions to the "genius" hack in the comments.

“You can’t tell me that sun melted chocolate doesn’t taste different to regular melted chocolate,” said one user.

“That deserves a GCSE in genius!” added another user.

One user commented: “It's all fun and games until a fly comes.”

“That bar would be gone before it had time to melt,” said another user.

“Oh yes, but I would have to have Banana,” added another user.

"I always use this hack now on a sunny day in the park," Laura said.

"It has to be Cadbury's Dairy Milk for this, as it's smooth and not too chunky, so melts well.

"If you're on a budget, Aldi's own is also super tasty.

"[I used to] keep my chocolate in the fridge – which is controversial, I know.

"But the chocolate tastes pretty much the same as it would in a normal fondue – smooth and rich."

She added: "Last night when I couldn't sleep, I put a soaked cloth in cold water and behind my neck while holding a hot water bottle which I put in the freezer the night before.

"It worked a dream and I slept like a baby.

"I usually freeze some grapes and add them to wine if I'm heading out on a hot day.

"They also work great as makeshift ice creams and stay cold for ages."
