A snake catcher has caught and trapped a five-feet long poisonous snake found inside a house in central India.

The footage filmed on July 25 shows the snake in the corner of a house with residents trying to keep the animal there with a bowl of milk. Then, a snake catcher arrives and traps the reptile with a metal rod before putting it into a large round plastic container.

A five-feet long poisonous snake was found inside a house in central India's Chhattisgarh.

The incident took place in Bhaisma village of Korba district on July 25.

Visuals showed the snake in the corner of a room. People were seen looking for it with the help of a torch. A container filled with milk was kept in front of the reptile.

Later a man was seen getting hold of the snake with the help of a rod with a hook-like ending. The man held the snake and brought it outside the house. He then put the reptile in a plastic container.

According to reports, the poisonous snake entered a house at night. The reptile was worshipped the entire night. Milk, flowers, incense sticks, and coconut were offered to the snake. As the night passed, several locals came to worship the reptile.

The snake remained in one place throughout the night and did not cause any harm to any person. In the morning, people informed snake catcher Jitendra Sarathi. He arrived at the spot immediately and the reptile was rescued.

The snake catcher said that the faith was pure and nice but the locals have to keep in mind that it is a poisonous reptile.
