The floral display outside the Churchill Arms in London's Kensington was seen in full splendour (July 23) as the recent unbroken sunshine helping plants to flourish.
Customers enjoyed drinks outside and other visitors took photos of the vibrant blooms at the watering-hole Winston Churchill's parents used to frequent.

The pub famous for its seasonal displays - including at Christmas when around a hundred fir trees and fairy lights decorate the building, is rumoured to spend £25K a year on maintanance and plants.

The tradition began over 35 years ago with summer hanging baskets and a few years later began decorating the building in Christmas trees for the seative season. General Manager James Keogh admits to 'getting a bit carried away' as what started with 10 trees soon grew to over 80 as each subsequent display grew in size.
