This is the shocking moment a pickup truck's rear wheel exploded sending it spinning out of control in Thailand.

The pickup truck was driving along a highway when its wheel blew out in Nakhon Ratchasima province on July 24.

It then spun out of control and careered across the concrete while its skidding created sparks.

The truck toppled over and the driver sustained minor injuries. No one else was hurt in the incident.

Motorist Kitsada Jarukklang, who was around 20ft behind the vehicle when the incident happened, said: ‘It was so scary. It could have struck us and a massive car collision could have happened. There was also large trucks on my left side. We were all fortunate to have been unhurt.'

The driver was taken to the hospital while his car was towed away by officers to a garage.
