Good Samaritan passerby revives swallow that fainted during heat wave in China
This kind passerby revived a swallow that appeared to have fainted during a heat wave in China.
Footage shows the pedestrian dousing the bird with water as it lay on the road in Hefei City, Anhui province on June 26. The exhausted avian is seen opening its beak and gratefully gulping up the liquid.
The Good Samaritan named Xiaojing said: 'After I gave the bird some water, it recovered its strength and later flew away. I'm happy that I was able to help it.'
China has been battered by alternating bouts of scorching heat waves and torrential rainfalls this summer. Experts have linked the severe weather events to climate change.
