A biker was rescued by the traffic police after he was stranded in the middle of a heavily flooded bridge in southern India's Telangana.

The man was trying to cross the Himayat Sagar Service road bridge when he got stranded on July 26.

Visuals showed the man sitting on his bike whilst being trapped in the gushing waters on the bridge. The flow of the water was extremely strong and the man held on to the railings by the side of the bridge to prevent from getting washed away.

A rescue team of Cyberabad Traffic Police led by HC Baig of the Rajendranagar police station saved the man. Visuals showed the trapped civilian on his bike along the edge of the bridge. The rescue team arrived on a truck and carefully went near the man, pulling him out of his bike and saving his life. They also dragged the vehicle across the inundated road using a rope that was tied to the two-wheeler.

It was also later learnt that traffic police had been deployed on both ends of the bridge but somehow, the man managed to enter the bridge and end up getting trapped.
