Unusual news of a woman finding a diamond while going to get woods from the forest has emerged from central India's Madhya Pradesh.

The incident took place in Purushottampur village in the Panna district on July 27.

Visuals showed a woman holding a diamond in her hand. She later gave it to one of the officials who wrapped it with a piece of paper.

According to reports, the tribal woman named Genda Bai had gone to take forest wood when she came across a diamond weighing 4 carat 39 cents. Its estimated price was Rs 20,00,000 (USD 25067.66).

The woman picked it up and came home to tell her husband. The couple could not identify the shiny stone and went straight to the diamond office where they came across connoisseur Anupam Singh who informed them about its real value.

This diamond has been deposited in the office and will be placed in the upcoming diamond auction. After getting the diamond, the poor tribal woman said that the condition of the house was very poor.

The expenses of the house were met by selling wood and from wages. She had four sons and two daughters who are going to get married. Therefore, now with the amount received from the diamond, she will spend it on the wedding and will also rebuild her house.
