Watch what happened when a woman, minding her own business and walking her dog, noticed a baby squirrel in peril.

At first, she had no intention of taking it home or away from its mother and natural surroundings in Brisbane, Australia.

However, after realizing that leaving it there would be extremely dangerous due to people almost stepping on it and dogs attempting to eat it, she ultimately decides to take it home.

Once she gets the squirrel home, Terrianna Brook, the filmer, notices that it's injured and needs proper care.

"I called my auntie because she has previous experience with squirrels and left it in her care," Terrianna said.

"She looked after it until it was ready and then released it. It was back at the park. It comes and visits her every day and gets some nuts. I’m so happy I managed to save this baby squirrel."
