This is the scary moment a wild snake darted across family's living room floor under woman's feet.

CCTV footage shows a young girl wearing yellow pajamas walking to the kitchen just as a 2ft-long tree snake snake slithered over the white tiles in Samut Sakhon province, Thailand on June 26.

The girl and her mother were unaware of the reptile that entered their home until her aunt emerged from the kitchen with the creature tangled in her feet. She then ran outside and stood on a chair to escape the danger.

Despite the unexpected animal encounter, the girl was unhurt as well as the snake that was caught by local animal rescuers who went to their home.

Mother Chawalitkitdumrong Jantip Marneejan said: ‘My daughter was only a few inches away from the snake. I am grateful to our dogs who scared the snake.'

The snake was released into the wild.
