Eerie scene as thousands of moulted crab shells wash up on Cornwall beach
Thousands of moulted crab shells washed up on the beach in St Ives, Cornwall, creating an eerie scene.
Locals were initially concerned by the sheer amount of shells left upon the shoreline. But according to National Coastwatch St Ives: "They are just the shells of a crab not dead they shed shells and for new ones."
This footage was captured on August 1.
