The alarmed owner returned to his vehicle and noticed the whimpering pooch in Uthai Thani, Northern Thailand, on May 11.
Animal rescued arrived and used vegetable oil to lubricate the dog's neck until it was slippery enough to glide out of the hole.
The dog's owner said that the car wheel had been unscrewed and the dog was sniffing it before trying to reach inside and getting his head trapped.
