London's Chinatown bustling with tourists in fist summer since the pandemic

Footage shows the Chinatown area of Central London now bustling with tourists during the first summer since Covid-19 restrictions eased.

The popular district, which sits between Shaftesbury Avenue and Leicester Square, is part of part of London's West End and had been one of the worst affected by the pandemic.

However, it has been quick to recover with footfall now approaching pre-pandemic levels and the occupancy rate of buildings still high.

Many people from China work in the area's restaurants and massage parlours. Chinatown is also part of the colourful Soho nightlife scene, which has been best known since the 1960s for its drugs, pubs, prostitutes, sex shops, and gay bars.

Worryingly, several Romanian Gypsy beggars selling balloons illegally were also captured on the video.
