This is the heartwarming moment a cat stuck in a car's rear bumper was rescued in Vietnam

The hapless moggie was seen with its legs dangling down by a motorcycle rider who was travelling behind his white saloon in Da Lat city on June 6.

Worried that the cat was in danger, the rider alerted the driver, who pulled over and checked the car for the feline.

Footage shows the car and pet owner Quoc Nam pulling a fluffy cat out from behind the bumper.

Quoc said: ‘A lady riding his motorbike saw the cat's legs behind my car. They thought I hit an animal but it really was my clingy cat.'

He added that the clingy pet might have climbed inside the small space before he left the house for work.

The pet owner said: ‘My cat might have sneaked inside the car body before I left. I was just relieved that he was unhurt. He could have fallen while I was driving. I am so grateful for the woman who saw my cat and told me about it.'

The pet cat was unhurt and taken home by the owner.
