Live snake placed in wine to make traditionnal drink

A disturbing video has emerged from China of a live snake being placed into a large bottle of wine to make a traditional medicinal drink.
The distressing footage, shows two people feeding the long snake into the glass bottle tail first.
When the entire reptile is in the bottle the top is covered and the snake is left to drown in the wine and gradually infuse the drink.
The practice of making snake wine dates back to 771 BC and is carried out in several Asian countries.
The drink is believed to promote vitality and health.
