Hundreds of ducks hold up TRAIN as they cross railway tracks
Hundreds of ducks held up a train as the flock crossed a set of railway tracks.
The water birds were on their way to a rice field when the train approached them in Phetchaburi province, Thailand on July 29.
As the feathered creatures waddled over crossed the line - even using the correct level crossing - the train driver had to slow down and stop to wait for them.
Amused train driver Preeda Pengtako, who sounded his horn, said: ‘These creatures are so adorable. They didn't care about anything else but the snails they would eat in the fields.'
Thailand uses a traditional farming technique called ‘pet lai thung', where a flock of ducks is unleashed upon a rice field so they can eat snails and other pests in the paddies.
Ped lai thung is beneficial for the farmer as it rids the soil of pests while saving the poultry owner duck feed.
