Swinsty Reservoir is part of a chain of reservoirs in the Washburn valley used by Yorkshire Water to supply drinking water to Leeds and the surrounding areas.
Pictured here is a significant area of dry bare land of the reservoir basin which usually sits below the water line.
Heatwave in July and continuing hot weather has caused the water of the reservoir to shrink.
