A group of locals inspected a house that was left in ruins by an Israeli air strike on August 6.

Footage shows dozens of dents left in a wall by the explosion. The ceiling of a house also caved in as a result of the blast.

The United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Tor Wennesland, said in a statement: “I am deeply concerned by the ongoing escalation.

“I am deeply saddened by reports that a 5-year-old child has been killed in these strikes. There can be no justification for any attacks against civilians.”

Israeli and Palestinian militants agreed to a ceasefire on August 7 after three days of violence.
