A plane brought the first regular tourists to Chile's Easter Island on 4 August, after a more than two-year Covid-caused pause in such visits.

The video shows a plane that brought tourists to Rapa Nui, on the famous Pacific island.

While the island formally reopened on Monday August 1, this flight, on the 4th, was the first to touch down with tourists.

In August there will be two flights a week, on Thursday and Saturday.

Arrivals must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19. They must also show a negative PCR test.
