A cheating husband was found dead after allegedly having sex with a sex worker in a short-time love hotel in Thailand.

Bee Thawee, 62, reportedly checked in at a motel with a young woman in her twenties when the incident happened in Samut Prakan province on August 7.

The old man rented the room by the hour at 5 pm before his companion reportedly left at 7 pm. However, staff found his lifeless body when they knocked on his room for overstaying.

Police and rescuers rushed to the scene, where they found the body on the floor with a used condom in the trash can.

Motel manager Khun Oi said: ‘The man came here with a young woman at about 5 PM and opened a room by the hour. The same woman left the motel, and the man never showed up, so we assumed he was sleeping.

'It's normal for men to come here with sex workers, so we didn't think there was anything unusual. Actually, I've seen this man before with different women. He usually comes here when his wife is away.

'I gave the description of the woman to the police. She was young and in her 20s. But I didn't recognise her. I haven't seen her here before.'

Staff checked on the room at 9:30 pm to ask the man if he wanted to extend his stay, but there was no answer so they entered the room since it was left unlocked.

The manager added: ‘The body of the elderly man was naked on the room floor. We called the police after seeing him lying there.'

Cops believe the old man died at least two hours before he was found by hotel staff. His cause of death is unclear, but officers suspect he had a heart attack after having sexual intercourse with the sex worker.

His body was sent to Ramathibodi Hospital to ascertain the cause of death while authorities searched for the old man's alleged young mistress for questioning as she was the last person to be with him before he died.

Lieutenant Colonel Adithep Phocharoe of Mango Samut Prakan Police Station said: ‘The old man likely took the young woman to have sex with but had an acute heart attack after. We will follow up with the woman if we can find her.'
