Heavy rains struck South Korea and brought flooding to the Seoul capital area on August 8. Eight people died due to severe weather conditions.

Streets turned into rivers, vehicles were seen stranded in the water, and metro stations were completely inundated. Power outages were also reported.

More pelting rain is on the way. According to the Korean meteorological administration, the heavy rainfall will continue until Wednesday (August 10).
