A raging muddy flood swept away vehicles parked on the road during a storm in the Philippines.

CCTV footage captured the moment the muddy torrents of water intensified and pushed the pair of vans forward in Barangay Pangdan in Naga City, Cebu province on August 7.

The flash flood propelled a yellow van down the street, followed shortly after by a black van that shot forward several feet.

One man climbed into the yellow vehicle's driver seat to try and steer it back to safety but had to leave due to the powerful flood.

They waited out the storm before returning the vans back to their parking spots. Nobody was injured in the incident.

The Philippines and other countries in Southeast Asia such as Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand are in the middle of their tropical monsoon rainy season, which lasts until October or November.

Soaring temperatures reaching 35 degrees Celsius are often followed by powerful tropical storms with thunder, lightning, rain and flash floods.
