An injured pangolin was rescued and taken for treatment after being found in eastern India's Odisha.

The incident happened in front of a bus depot in Bhubaneswar on August 8.

The rare animal was rescued by a person, who had kept it inside a drum in his house. Visuals showed forest officers taking out the drum in which the pangolin was kept. They took out the animal. Water was then poured on it to clean it before the animal was put inside a cage. Officials were then seen taking the animal to the veterinary hospital where the pangolin would be treated for its injuries.

Suspecting more pangolins to be present in the area, the Bhubaneswar forest department would patrol that place for the night. After this pangolin is treated, it would be released into the wild.
