A pet dog was given a sensational funeral as the family paraded the pooch through the town in eastern India.

A family in Parlakhemundi, Odisha, was driven through the town's streets in a vehicle covered in flowers.

The 17-year-old pooch, named Anjali, was considered a family member by his owner Tunnu Gouda.

Gouda also feeds around 70 stray dogs and also looks after four of them.
