Ghost figure of RAF solder seen

On August 5th 2015, myself and a colleague were driving home at 11:30pm when we encountered a man standing at the side of the A696 near Belsay in Northumberland. The man appeared to be dressed in pilots uniform and was stood motionless.

We decided it looked a bit odd, as we were miles from any town or village , so we turned around and went back. We began to video ourself looking for the man. We saw him, still standing there in the same position - motionless and unaware of any passing motorist. When we swung the car around to pick him up, he had vanished. There was no trace of him anywhere to be seen on the road or at the side.

We later found out, with the help of a local journalist, that Belsay has been the site of x2 RAF crashes over the years, the first taking place in 1943 when a pilot crashed into a farmers field and died upon impact in a Spitfire, and the second less than a mile away, in the grounds of Belsay Hall in 1999. We believe the man standing in this video bares resemblance to an RAF pilot from WWII.
