Dragons head emerges from Welsh reservoir as water levels continue to drop in the UK due to ongoing heatwave
This is the mythical moment a dragons head was spotted by a drone pilot in the Snowdonia National Park.
Pilot Scott who made the discovery on 11 August 2022 said: "I came to Llyn Celyn in Gwynedd, Wales to search for the flooded village of Capel Celyn whilst the water levels had dropped due to weeks of dry weather but I found something quite amazing instead.
"When I put the drone in the air, I followed the shoreline and found what looked like a dragons head made from the outline of the shore, it was quite a sight, especially in Wales where their national flag has the red dragon on, it couldn't have been a more Welsh moment."
The mythical shape emerged from the waters of Llyn Celyn, a Welsh reservoir that was constructed in 1965, flooding the rural village of Capel Celyn by the English in to create the reservoir that supplies water to the city of Liverpool.
