Flower tributes to 4-year old Sahara Salman killed in gas explosion on Galpins Road in South London

Health and safety investigation is underway following gas explosion on Galpin's Road, located between Norbury and Thornton Heath Southern rail stations, that killed a 4-year old girl Sahara Salman, injured three other people and damaged six to eight homes on Monday morning, 8 August. There are flowers for Sahara Salman on the side of the road. The gas supply to the road has been turned off and around 80 homes have been evacuated with residents staying in hotels. Southern Gas Networks remain on site with the cordon extended to 200 metres as they deal with gas leak.
