A man goes on a rampage and slams a snake and a hedgehog being played by tourists in Indonesia.

Footage filmed at the Jam Gadang park, Bukittinggi City, West Sumatra province, August 10, shows Yayat (30) raging for a platinum tiger snake that is being carried by tourists.

The perpetrator twirled and threw the snake to the floor. Not satisfied, the perpetrator took and threw a mini hedgehog into the air.

Onlookers and animal lovers chased the perpetrators. The security guard on duty caught the perpetrator who appeared to be possessed.

Tourist Andi Alan said the incident began when he was holding a snake belonging to a reptile lover community. At that time they were providing education about reptiles.

"I was holding the snake, he suddenly came and grabbed the snake's head, he took it and slammed the snake," Alan added.

The official Bukittinggi Civil Service Police (Satpol PP), Nanan, said the perpetrator was allegedly stressed due to economic problems.

The perpetrator was detained at the Satpol PP post. The families who picked up the perpetrators were asked to monitor the perpetrators so as not to harm and endanger the residents.

As a result of this incident, the reptile lover community as the owner of the dead animals suffered a loss of around 10 million rupiah or 575 GBP.
