Burmese dancers showcased their culture as they gracefully hopped between wooden poles while performing a traditional bamboo dance in Myanmar.

Footage shows the youths rhythmically stepping over and in between the wooden poles, which formed a grid on the ground as other villagers clapped them together like percussion instruments during a festival in Kayin State on August 15.

Locals said the dance requires plenty of practice to prevent performers' feet from being crushed.

It also has regional variations throughout Asia, such as the Rangku Alu in Indonesia, the Múa Sạp in Vietnam, and the Tinikling in the Philippines.
