This retired football referee now helps villagers by voluntarily catching snakes that slip into their houses in Myanmar.

Wearing only a towel around his waist, the snake wrangler, Oo Bae Kyi, was recorded cornering a serpent that had hidden inside a local's kitchen cabinet in Pakkoku City, Magway on June 30.

Footage shows Oo Bae Kyi covering his hand with a burlap sack and grabbing the bright yellow-green snake from its hiding spot bare-handed. He then grips the animal by its head as it thrashes wildly to try and break loose.

To appease the reptile, he douses it with some cold water before tying it into a knot and placing it back inside the sack to be released away from villagers' homes.
