After what has been the driest summer with record number on 40 degree celsius the Weather Reporter announced we would be getting rain and extreme flooding in various parts of the UK after the heatwave. In the North part of Hertfordshire in Oaklands Welwyn, a few hours of nonstop heavy rain fall brought the worst flooding we have have ever seen on the main B197 road covering the pavement, grass verges and heading up side roads Oaklea, Treetops, Cannonsfield and Turpins Ride.
