A breathtaking double rainbow formed after a rainstorm over Bangkok, Thailand, on Thursday evening.

The beautiful weather phenomenon stretched for several minutes above homes in the Huai Khwang district in the north of the capital city.

Dark grey storm clouds could be seen in the distance as the double rainbow gradually tailed off.

It came after heavy monsoon most afternoons this week.

Thailand and other countries in Southeast Asia such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Myanmar, and the Philippines are at the peak of their tropical monsoon rainy season, which lasts until late November.

Soaring temperatures reaching 35 degrees Celsius are often followed by powerful tropical storms with thunder, lightning, rain and flash floods which cause rivers to flow faster and become dangerous.
