Bali earthquake sparks panic with residents fleeing from shopping mall

Panicked shoppers ran from a mall as an earthquake hit Bali, Indonesia, this afternoon.

The 5.5 magnitude quake shook buildings after striking at a depth of 140.9km on August 22 at 4:36 PM local time, the US Geological Survey Earthquake Hazards Program reported.

It happened around 49km southeast of Nusa Dua and 62km from Denpasar on the popular tropical holiday island of Bali. There were no tsunami alerts or reports of injuries.
