World's tallest chedi
The world's tallest Buddhist monument is in Nakhon Pathom in Thailand. Phra Pathom Chedi rises to 127 metres and originates from the 6th century. The temple complex includes a reclining Buddha 17 metres long. Nakhon Pathom is believed to be the country's oldest settlement. The video was filmed during celebrations for Queen Sirikit's 83d birthday, which is Mother's Day.
