This is the terrifying moment an escaped bull rampaged through a bank in Israel.

The runaway animal terrified staff when it tore through the corridors of Bank Leumi in the Lod area of Tel Aviv after escaping from its owner on August 22.

With a rope still attached to its neck, it charged across the slippery tiles with workers desperately chasing after it.

The bull had earlier shocked onlookers when it stormed through the car park before somehow storming into the bank's entrance.

A local farmer was later contacted to collect the out-of-control bovid, with a veterinarian also arriving in case it needed to be tranquilised.

Footage shows a man appearing to taunt the horned animal into chasing him before sprinting down the walkway and luring it into a rope trap. The unwitting beast walked right into the snare, allowing workers to finally bring it under control.

In a statement, Bank Leumi said: 'Early this morning, a bull entered one of Bank Leumi's office buildings in Lod. He was caught, and led outside the facility. Meanwhile, the incident was reported to local authorities and the municipal veterinary services.

'No one was injured and no damage was caused.'
