Anti-government protesters held a rally calling for the Prime Minister to resign in Bangkok, Thailand, this afternoon August 23.

Demonstrators gathered at the Democracy Monument in the centre of the capital amid claims that the eight-year term of military ruler Prayut Chan-o-cha ends today.

The PM is battling to stay in power for longer amid calls for him to step down and continued anti-establishment protests which started before the pandemic and have resumed in recent weeks.
