Dedicated animal shelter workers used electric swatters to kill mosquitoes, helping rescued dogs get a comfortable night's rest in Myanmar.

Footage shows staff making a sweep of the dog's sleeping area in Yangon on August 22, with the rackets emitting a loud zapping sound upon hitting the blood-sucking bugs.

An employee said they do this every night from 7 to 9 pm while putting the dogs to sleep in individual baskets.

The shelter also reportedly provides vaccination, sterilisation, and veterinary care for the abandoned dogs while assisting interested pet owners with adoption procedures.
